Senior Bookkeeper

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing and highly regarded firm of accountants renowned for delivering the gold standard in consultancy and advisory services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a dynamic, forward-thinking practice that places client service and professional excellence at the heart of everything it does.

The Role

As Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing hands-on bookkeeping and financial support while contributing to the firm’s exceptional advisory offering. This is a client-facing position where you will build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner to businesses across a range of sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients in a range of industries

• Preparing VAT returns, management accounts, and reconciliations

• Supporting clients with software implementation and process improvement

• Providing proactive advice on bookkeeping and accounting best practice

• Liaising closely with managers and partners to ensure the highest standards of client service

About You

We are looking for a confident, technically strong bookkeeper with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in helping clients grow and succeed.

You will have:

• At least three years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice

• Strong technical knowledge and experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

• The ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively

• A collaborative approach and a commitment to professional excellence
