Outsourcing Specialist (Practice)

We are working with a large and well-established independent firm of accountants in North Kent, seeking an experienced Outsourcing Specialist to join their expanding outsourcing team. This is a key appointment within a growing department and offers genuine long-term progression for the right individual.

The Role

As an Outsourcing Specialist, you will take responsibility for managing your own portfolio of clients, providing a full range of outsourced accounting services and acting as a trusted adviser. You will have extensive client contact, working closely with business owners and finance teams to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts to trial balance

• Managing and processing online payments and bank reconciliations

• Posting journal adjustments and maintaining ledgers

• Processing payroll, VAT returns, and CIS submissions

• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support

• Developing and mentoring junior members of the team

• Working collaboratively with managers and partners to deliver high-quality service

About You

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice

• Strong technical skills with experience in cloud accounting software (such as Xero or QuickBooks)

• Confident communicator with excellent client relationship skills

• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple clients

• A team player who enjoys supporting and developing others
