Finance Manager

A well-established and growing manufacturing business in South Kent is seeking a driven and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function. Reporting directly to the owner, this is a unique opportunity to play a central role in the company’s future—and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for day-to-day finance operations
• Produce monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and performance reports
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, payroll, and statutory requirements
• Analyse production costs, margins, and profitability
• Drive process improvements, systems upgrades, and reporting automation
• Liaise with external accountants, banks, and stakeholders
• Provide commercial insight and support on pricing, investment, and growth plans

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE with strong experience
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or product-based environments is highly desirable
• Strong Excel and finance systems knowledge
• Confident working directly with business owners/directors
• Hands-on and detail-focused, with a commercial mindset
• Eager to take on responsibility and develop professionally
