Systems Accountant (Access Dynamics)

A successful and well-established charitable organisation based in Mid-Kent is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to support a recently implemented finance system and help maximise its effectiveness across the organisation.

This is a highly visible and varied assignment requiring a hands-on professional with proven experience of Access Financials or Access Dimensions and a strong background in finance systems, reporting and process improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and rewriting management reports to improve usability and effectiveness.

• Enhancing forecasting models and financial statements to support decision-making.

• Working closely with finance users to understand how the new system is being utilised in practice.

• Observing and documenting current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Developing and implementing a Code of Best Practice to drive consistency, efficiency and control across the finance function.

• Providing practical recommendations to optimise system usage and reporting capabilities.

The successful candidate will combine strong accounting knowledge with excellent systems expertise and the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels. Previous experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
