Practice Bookkeeper

About the Role:

You’ll be working across a wide variety of clients – from sole traders to multi-site businesses – providing accurate, efficient and client-focused bookkeeping services.

This is a hands-on, varied role, where no two days are the same. You'll take ownership of your own client base, working independently but with all the support you need to thrive.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various industries
• Posting journals and maintaining accounts to trial balance
• VAT returns and full reconciliations
• Online banking and payments
• Handling payroll for select clients (weekly/monthly)
• Liaising directly with clients – building strong, trusted relationships
• Using cloud software (Xero/QuickBooks etc.) efficiently and confidently

About You:

• Must have previous experience in an accountancy practice
• Confident managing a portfolio of multi-client work
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience
• Skilled in cloud software and bookkeeping tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised, and happy to roll your sleeves up
