Partner Designate

We are recruiting for a standout opportunity at a respected, multi-site firm of accountants based in Mid Kent. This is a newly created Partner Designate role – a key strategic appointment aimed at shaping the future of the firm.

The Role

As Partner Designate, you will take full ownership of a significant portfolio of long-standing clients, providing high-level advisory support across a broad range of sectors. You’ll be instrumental in nurturing these relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Just as importantly, you’ll play a hands-on leadership role within the practice — motivating teams, driving performance, and helping to shape the firm’s strategy as it continues to grow and modernise.

This is not a back-office role — it’s a leadership position for someone ready to step up and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of talented professionals across offices

• Manage and grow a significant portfolio of clients, ensuring service excellence

• Contribute to the strategic direction and future success of the firm

• Play a central role in modernising systems, processes, and service offerings

• Build trusted relationships with clients, offering strategic and commercial advice

• Drive new business development through referrals, networking, and reputation

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

• 7+ years’ experience in general practice, ideally with a strong audit or tax background

• Proven ability to lead teams and develop people

• A confident communicator with strong client-facing skills

• Commercially minded, with a keen eye for opportunity and growth

• Ambitious, credible, and ready to step into a Partner-level role in the short to medium term
