Management Accountant

We are working exclusively with a growing and acquisitive business in South Kent, looking for a Management Accountant.  As they continue to grow and evolve, they are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical in providing financial insight that supports strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will play a key role in the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You'll be responsible for helping drive financial performance and ensuring the financial health of the organisation through timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Assist in the development of financial models and business cases
• Monitor departmental spend and work closely with budget holders
• Produce regular reports and KPIs for internal stakeholders
• Help implement and improve financial controls and processes
• Assist in year-end procedures and liaise with external auditors as required
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
• Experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the healthcare, not-for-profit, or related sectors
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
• Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, Oracle, or similar)
