Accountancy Practice - Accounts Semi-Senior

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prominent, independently owned accountancy practice based in Folkestone. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality service to a diverse client base, the firm combines the personal approach of an independent practice with a modern, progressive working environment. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join the team.

The Role
 
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

• Reviewing accounts prepared by junior team members and providing constructive feedback

• Production of management accounts and supporting analysis for clients

• Assisting with audit assignments where required, providing cover during peak periods

• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide ongoing support

• Supporting managers and partners with ad-hoc assignments as required

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of work and develop strong client relationships, while working within a collaborative and technically strong team.

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with individuals who are motivated, technically capable and comfortable taking responsibility for their work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• AAT qualification (or equivalent)

• At least three years’ experience working within a modern and progressive accountancy practice

• Experience preparing statutory accounts and management accounts

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• The confidence to work independently and communicate effectively with clients

• Exposure to audit work would be advantageous but is not essential.
