About The Company:

The Role:

We are looking for a Head of Finance to join our client. The position will lead to further growth as the organisation makes progress in new projects, supporting more people year on year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership, advising senior management and the board across multiple entities, and managing financial risk.
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting including management accounts, cash flow forecasts, VAT returns, and year-end processes.
• Lead budget preparation for funding bids and investments, and ensure accurate grant reporting and departmental budget updates.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, ensuring effective implementation of financial operations including payroll, pensions, and credit control.

Desirable Skills:

• Qualified or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting & UK Charity SORP
• Experience leading a small finance team and liaising with external accountants
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial software; Xero & Excel.
