Finance Assistant

The Role

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the finance function, with a particular focus on bookkeeping, reconciliations and ledger management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate financial records and completing bank reconciliations.
• Processing purchase ledger invoices, payments and supplier queries.
• Raising sales invoices and monitoring outstanding debts.
• Processing expenses, credit card transactions and staff claims.
• Supporting financial reporting, year-end activities and audit requirements.
• Assisting with general finance administration and resolving queries.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a finance administration or bookkeeping role.
• A good understanding of financial ledgers and reconciliations.
• Confident using accounting software and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Studying towards ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous.
