About the Role
I am partnering with a respected and steadily growing independent firm of chartered accountants in London to appoint an Audit Semi-Senior. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious individual seeking greater responsibility, broader client exposure and clear progression in a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will bring a minimum of two years’ experience within a practice role where audit comprised roughly 70 percent of audit responsibilities. You will join a collaborative team delivering high-quality audit work across a diverse client base, including entrepreneurial businesses, established SMEs and not-for-profit organisations.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion under the guidance of senior team members
• Prepare working papers, perform substantive testing and ensure files are completed to a high standard
• Liaise with clients confidently and professionally, assisting in resolving queries promptly
• Support junior members of the team as required and contribute to continuous process improvement
About You
• Two years or more of audit-focused experience within an accountancy practice
• Progressing toward ACA or ACCA qualification
• Strong technical grounding, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a commitment to high professional standards
• Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to develop your career in a firm that values long-term growth
What’s on Offer
This role provides a genuine early-career springboard. You will benefit from close mentorship, hands-on client involvement and the chance to advance quickly as the firm continues to expand. The culture is friendly, modern and merit-driven, with structured training and study support.
For further information on this or indeed a broad range of Practice opportunities then please do not hesitate to contact Robin at Farrer Barnes.
