About the Role
My client is a School based just outside Orpington, boasting a range of excellent facilities and modern working environment, is now looking to recruit to the important role of School Finance Manager to join the senior support staff.
This is the most senior support role within the school and the position centres on managing the income and expenditure of the school, providing insightful reporting and analysis for the SLG and Trustees. Key to success in this post will be setting and controlling budgets, alongside keen financial management and appraisal of the procurement of services, suppliers and products for the school. You’ll become the trusted advisor to the Head, helping with sound financial decision making to ensure high standards of education are met. You’ll ensure various annual reporting deadlines are met, managing the ESFA and HRMC statutory returns.
Applications are sought from experienced finance candidates, either formally qualified or actively studying a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA CIPFA or equivalent) with previous experience of operating at a similar level, within schools or other educational sector experience. Certainly, evidence of managing and controlling budgets, good IT and reporting experience will be required.
