Regional Finance Business Partner

My client is a multi-academy trust located across the Midlands and South Yorkshire and they are looking for a Regional Finance Business Partner to join the team focusing on the area around Derby and Sheffield. This is an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, strengthen financial sustainability, and directly contribute to improving outcomes for young people across our Trust.

 This role will involve:

 Lead strategic financial planning, including 3-year budget setting and forecasting

Provide clear, actionable financial advice to support school improvement priorities

Oversee robust financial management and compliance, ensuring best value and efficiency

Act as a trusted partner to leaders, helping them understand the financial implications of decisions

Drive consistency and excellence in financial systems and processes across schools

 Applications are sought from experienced finance candidates, either formally qualified or actively studying a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA , AAT or equivalent) with previous experience of operating at a similar level, within schools or other educational sector experience. Certainly, evidence of managing and controlling budgets, good IT and reporting experience will be required.

 This role could be based in either Derby or Sheffield but travelling between sites will be required to access to your own transport is essential.  Hybrid working is available with this role.
