PT Bookkeeper

The Company
I’m working with a lovely, family-run business based in Folkestone, well known for its warm, supportive and collaborative culture. Following continued growth, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.

The Role
This is a varied, hands-on bookkeeping role where you’ll take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting compliance across the business. It’s ideally suited to someone who enjoys working closely with others in a friendly, close-knit environment.

The role is part-time across 3-5 days per week, with flexibility around how those hours are worked.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Processing supplier and customer payments
• Completing monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Preparing financial reports and assisting with budgets and VAT returns
• Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
• Supporting general finance administration as required

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
• AAT qualified
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Experience preparing VAT returns and related reporting
• Confident communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
