Assistant Management Accountant

We’re working with a fast-growing retail business that’s looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across management accounts, month-end reporting, reconciliations, and wider finance projects, while growing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role

• Assist with the preparation of management accounts for budget holders
• Review and analyse financial information to ensure accuracy
• Support monthly and year-end reporting
• Reconcile sales reports and balance sheets
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and payment runs
• Support ad hoc finance projects
• Assist with external audits

About You

• Experience working in a similar role, with strong Excel and system skills
• Part-qualified accountant preferred
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Logical, analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail
• Able to manage workload effectively
• Based in Rochester

This is a great role for an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to gain broad exposure to management accounts and grow within a supportive finance team. This position is based onsite.
