Part Time Bookkeeper

The Company
Our client is a growing business based in the heart of Broadstairs, Kent, known for its friendly and collaborative working environment. They are now seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team and support the smooth running of the finance function.

The Role
As the Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit team and managing a broad range of accounting duties. 18 hours per week, spread across 3 days (flexible working pattern).

 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Process and manage payments to suppliers and clients.
• Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and VAT returns.
• Process payroll and maintain related records.

 Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role.
• AAT qualification (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience managing VAT returns and related reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
