The Role:
We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join a dynamic finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis across the business. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will play a key part in the month end process, financial planning cycle, and ongoing performance analysis. The successful candidate will take ownership of key reporting activities, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and work closely with stakeholders to provide meaningful commercial insight. Key Responsibilities:
• Month End Reporting – Take ownership of the month end close process, including preparation of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and production of management accounts.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis – Deliver accurate monthly reporting, variance analysis, and clear commentary on business performance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting – Support the budgeting and forecasting process, analysing performance against forecasts and identifying key drivers.
• Business Partnering – Work closely with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision making.
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Data & Systems – Utilise Excel and reporting tools to deliver meaningful analysis and improve data accessibility and quality.
Desirable Skills:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) is advantageous
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non finance stakeholders
• Experience with ERP systems or data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) is beneficial
