 This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated finance team and play a key role in supporting the organisation during a period of maternity cover.

 The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day transactional finance, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.

 This is a full-time position offering hybrid working following the initial on-boarding period. The ideal start date will be mid-December or early January, to allow for a thorough handover.

 Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with payment runs.
• Support with bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Handle finance queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks.

 
Key Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a Finance or Accounts role.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• A proactive and dependable team player with a positive attitude.
• AAT qualification or currently studying (desirable).

 Benefits

• Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience).
