The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day transactional finance, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
This is a full-time position offering hybrid working following the initial on-boarding period. The ideal start date will be mid-December or early January, to allow for a thorough handover.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
- Reconcile supplier statements and assist with payment runs.
- Support with bank reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Handle finance queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Finance or Accounts role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- A proactive and dependable team player with a positive attitude.
- AAT qualification or currently studying (desirable).
- Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- 12-month fixed-term contract – maternity cover.
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid working following on-boarding.
