Accountancy Practice - Bookkeeper

As a recruiter working closely with this ambitious and expanding independent firm of accountants, I’m delighted to be supporting them in finding an experienced Practice Bookkeeper who is confident, motivated, and ready for a role with real variety and responsibility.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a bookkeeper with 2+ years of practice experience to join a positive, supportive and forward-thinking team. You’ll be working with a broad portfolio of clients, providing hands-on bookkeeping, VAT and payroll support, and building strong client relationships along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a varied client base

• Preparing accurate VAT returns

• Processing payroll and handling related queries

• Working proactively with clients to provide excellent service

• Supporting the wider team as the practice continues to grow

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years’ bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice

• Confident with VAT, payroll and cloud-based accounting software

• Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• A positive and collaborative mindset
