Practice Senior

Farrer Barnes is delighted to be working with a highly regarded and well-established independent accountancy practice in Edenbridge, assisting with the recruitment of a Senior Practice Accountant.

You will work in a varied general practice role, providing a broad range of accounting and taxation services to an interesting portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients. The position would suit an experienced practice accountant looking for greater responsibility, as well as someone who is keen to continue developing their career within a supportive independent firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end and statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed business clients
• Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Providing clients with general accounting and business support
• Reviewing and supporting junior members of the team, where appropriate to your level of experience
• Taking an active role in the continued development of the firm and its client relationships

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and will be comfortable managing a varied portfolio of clients and responsibilities.

You may be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience. Most importantly, you will have a strong grounding in general practice and a genuine interest in developing your career within a client-focused environment.

The firm is also open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment, with flexibility around working hours to accommodate the right individual.
