Part Time Nursery Business Manager

My client, a Nursery School in South London is now looking to recruit a Business Manager on a part time basis.

This is a significant post within the nursery, which carries with it responsibility within the senior leadership team, managing the day-to-day finance, administration, premises and HR requirements.  Supported by a central team within the nursery and with the on-site assistance of a small support team, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the best use of resources and ensure the Nursery obligations are met.

Responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the financial management of the nursery, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Manage all aspects of the nursey’s administrative and support functions, ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Lead and manage a team of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as required.
• Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the nursery’s operations.
• Work closely with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure effective procurement and contract management.
• Oversee the management of the nursey’s premises and facilities. 

Applications are sought from individuals who have previous experience working within a similar nursery business manager role.

My client is flexible on days and hours worked but is ideally looking for someone around 25-30 hours over 4 or 5 days.
