Finance Manager

About The Company:

A well-established and growing business is seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key role within a fast-paced environment, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to support ongoing commercial growth.

The Role:

As Senior Management Accountant, you will take ownership of management reporting, month-end processes, budgeting and forecasting. You will provide valuable financial insight to support decision-making, maintain robust controls, and manage a small transactional finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and insightful commentary on performance.
• Manage daily cashflow, supplier payments, VAT returns, fixed assets and the wider purchase-to-pay process.
• Support annual budgets and rolling forecasts across profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow.
• Analyse financial and operational KPIs, product costing and performance trends, recommending actions for improvement.
• Support the year-end audit process and manage a small team across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.

Desirable Skills:

• Proven management accounting experience in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
• Strong reporting, forecasting, reconciliations and financial-controls knowledge.
• Commercially minded with the ability to turn financial data into clear, practical recommendations.
• Previous people-management experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.
