Finance Business Partner

About The Company:
Our client is a well-established, operationally focused business with a strong commitment to commercial performance, sustainability and continuous improvement. They are seeking an analytical and commercially minded finance professional to partner with key operational teams across their fleet and facilities functions.

The Role:
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide insightful financial analysis and support decision-making across the various business units. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work closely with operational leaders and commercial stakeholders, helping to improve profitability, enhance reporting and drive performance across both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Taking ownership of P&Ls, including budgeting, forecasting, target setting and post-management-account review.
• Producing timely, commercially focused analysis on operational performance, cost-effectiveness, capital expenditure and project viability.
• Supporting the monthly management accounts process and contributing to board reporting packs.
• Partnering proactively with operational teams and senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
• Preparing and developing KPI reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and support decision-making.
• Supporting commercial colleagues with tender activity, pricing calculations, deal structures and new business opportunities.
• Reviewing systems and data to ensure information is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
• Leading or supporting initiatives that improve the transparency, accuracy and commercial value of financial information.
• Providing ad-hoc analysis and support to the Finance Director as required.

Desirable Skills:
• Part-qualified, qualified or actively studying towards an accountancy qualification.
• Strong commercial finance or business-partnering experience within an operational environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Confidence in challenging non-financial stakeholders constructively and influencing operational decision-making.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to a range of audiences.
• Experience using Power BI or other business-intelligence reporting tools would be advantageous.
