This is a genuinely flexible opportunity, with full-time and part-time options available, hybrid working and excellent long-term career prospects. The practice has grown significantly over the past five years and has built a strong reputation for its relaxed, supportive culture and flexible approach.

The role can be shaped around your experience, strengths and career aspirations, with a varied portfolio covering company and charity audits, accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.

The Role

You will manage your own portfolio of clients, lead audit and accounts assignments and oversee a team of staff. Working alongside other managers, you will manage workflow and report directly to the partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading larger and more complex assignments
  • Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
  • Supervising, coaching and developing junior team members
  • Managing client relationships and communication
  • Ensuring assignments are delivered on time and within budget
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities and management letter points
  • Mentoring trainees and contributing to their development
  • Building specialist sector knowledge and keeping up to date with technical developments
About You

You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.

You should have:
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards
  • Experience preparing and reviewing accounts
  • Practical knowledge of group accounts
  • The ability to manage clients and lead a team effectively
  • Experience across corporate and/or not-for-profit clients is advantageous
  • IFRS knowledge would be useful but is not essential
What's on Offer
  • £55,000–£70,000, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Full-time or part-time hours
  • Hybrid working – 2–3 days from home
  • Flexible working hours
  • Excellent company culture
  • Dress-for-your-diary approach
  • Free parking
  • Strong training and career progression opportunities
  • Competitive benefits package
If you're looking for a role offering variety, flexibility and genuine progression within a successful and supportive accountancy practice, this could be an excellent next step.
