The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function with day-to-day transactional duties. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of finance tasks, including both sales and purchase ledger, and contribute to the smooth running of the department. This is a fully onsite role, offering great exposure and the opportunity to progress within a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process and reconcile bank transactions
• Process supplier invoices and ensure correct coding of expenses
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Support the monthly payment run
• Maintain tidy and up-to-date ledgers
• Assist with credit control and resolving outstanding balances
• Handle internal and external queries related to payments
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance admin role
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Confident user of Excel and accounting systems
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Studying towards AAT or keen to begin a finance qualification
