About the Role

Our client, a well-established and respected medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants based in the heart of London, is seeking an Audit Senior to join their dynamic and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

The Role

As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing and delivering high-quality audit assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger corporate entities. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising audit engagements, as well as providing technical guidance and supervision to junior members of the audit team.

In addition to your audit responsibilities, approximately 30% of your time will be spent on accounts preparation and related assignments, giving you exposure to a broad range of client work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines
  • Supervise, review and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering practical and commercial advice where appropriate
  • Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Liaise effectively with partners and managers to ensure work is delivered to the highest standard
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and efficiency of the audit function
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in audit, ideally within a UK accountancy practice
  • Proven experience in managing audit assignments from start to finish
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • Client-focused with a proactive and professional approach
