Accountancy Practice - Accounts & Tax Semi-Senior

We are currently seeking an Accounts and Tax Semi-Senior (Studier) to join a long-established, fast-growing independent firm of accountants based in Folkestone.

This role is well suited to someone with experience supporting small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses and who can work quickly, accurately, and confidently in a client-facing environment. The firm offers a strong and clearly defined career path, with excellent long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of SME clients

• Assisting with personal and corporate tax compliance

• Supporting senior staff with ad hoc accounting and tax work

• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timeframes

Candidate Profile

• Ideally AAT qualified or at a similar level of study

• Approximately three years’ experience in an accountancy practice

• Strong understanding of the owner-managed business sector

• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills

• Able to work efficiently, accurately, and with growing independence
