The role

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for a varied owner-managed business client base

• Approximately 20–30% audit work, at a comparable technical level

• Involvement in audit planning, fieldwork, and completion

• Direct client contact, including explaining accounts, audit findings, and value-added advice

• Opportunity to support partners with client development and fee growth

The ideal candidate

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts production and review within practice

• Solid audit exposure (around 20% of current or recent workload)

• Strong technical grounding combined with clear, confident communication skills

• Commercially aware, with the ability to spot opportunities and build trusted client relationships

• Ambitious, personable, and keen to progress within an independent firm environment
