Too spicy for Chuck Norris
Last Friday we attempted our yearly strive for mid-table mediocrity at The Big Kent Quiz. Find out how we got on further down the page!
To ensure our brains were fed, we decided to visit our local Wagamamas. This struck fear within one of the consultants. The thought of venturing to a healthy establishment that doesn't serve standard grub (KFC, for example) caused Mark to quiver in his boots. Luckily, with the help of Julia, we managed to persuade Mark to join us at the benches. A few chicken katsu curries later, the team were fed and brains were active (including Mark's - a successful voyage into the unknown!)
Let the quiz begin!
As always, Simon Dolby's voice calmed the tables and the quiz kicked off. We decided to play our 'Joker' on the first round as this usually gives us the best chance of hitting the top 5 in the early annoucements. Unfortunately, the annoucements seemed to have been abolished. We didn't let this break us down though. There were a few cracking rounds before half time but at that point, the drink decided to kick in leading us to our destined position of mid-table.
20th out of 38 teams. We'll take that.
