Sarah Ottley - Farrer Barnes' Education Speclalist

Farrer Barnes’ Education Consultant, Sarah Ottley, who works closely with schools, academies and multi academy trusts nationally, also enjoys an active role as a Governor of a local special school.

 

The school which is also registered as a children's home, is maintained by the London Borough of Wandsworth for children and young people with severe learning difficulties who are on the autistic spectrum continuum.

 

Situated on a large site in the seaside town of Broadstairs in East Kent, their facilities include an amphitheatre, library, swimming pool, parent’s flat, interactive soft play and sensory rooms.  The ‘state of the art’ interactive bicycle track is immensely popular, as well as the pottery, all weather football pitch, sensory garden, extensive grounds and horticultural projects.

 

Sarah brings her expertise of recruiting into Senior Leadership Teams up and down the country to the governing body and supports the school with her knowledge of best practices and recruitment and retention strategies.

 

She is delighted and honored to be involved with this extremely successful school which was judged “outstanding” by Ofsted, and which offers a superb range of specialised support and provision to their children.
