About Us

The City of London Academy - Islington opened in September 2008. It is jointly sponsored by the City of London Corporation and City University London.

The Academy is a mixed, non-selective Academy, with no religious affiliation, committed to providing excellence in education and opportunities for all. The Academy promotes excellence in the areas of critical thinking, creativity, leadership and Business and Enterprise.

It is an Academy ‘Where Students Succeed’.

In order for students to achieve their maximum potential, they must attend regularly and punctually. In view of this, the Academy has launched a series of attendance related initiatives, with a particular emphasis upon improving lateness across all year groups.
