Open Evenings

We understand that as a busy professional you may not have time during the working day to meet with consultants to discuss your career, which is why we regularly hold open events for you to meet our consultants out of hours.

HR Events

As part of our on-going commitment and involvement with the HR business community, Farrer Barnes is delighted to have a consultant who plays a pivotal role in the Kent branch of the CIPD.

Melanie Moore has been an active committee member of the CIPD for over 10 years. She has held roles of Media Officer and Web Co-Ordinator now holds the position of Chair for the East Kent CIPD group. Assisting the Kent Chair, Maxine Blades, she organises regular events in the East Kent region. Most of these events are free to attend and offer continuing professional development and exceptional networking opportunities for HR professionals in the East Kent area. 

Over the last year, HR events have been held at a number of Kent businesses including SAGA, Premier Foods and Brachers.

Charities

We regularly organise charity 5-a-side football competitions aimed specifically at getting like minded finance professionals together to throw themselves into something decidedly non-finance. As it stands we get together with 7 accountancy practices once a year and also with the NHS trusts throughout Kent to fight it out for the coveted trophies on offer. To date we've raised several thousand pounds for charity and have developed stronger links with our clients as a cause of it (we're not averse to one off matches against specific clients either.)  If you are keen to find out more or have idea for a similar sporting/ extracurricular event feel free to contact us - Canterbury@farrer-barnes.com
